What right do I have to assume that someone wants my help?
This is a thought for all of us who like to rescue people or fix them. Just ask yourself the question, does that person really want my help? Or am I getting in the way?
Perhaps the question to ask is, what right do I have to assume that they want my help? Their pathway may be, to find their own answers, however short or long that time might be. I have learnt that the most appropriate (and appreciated) line to take has been to wait to be asked.....
Another notion to consider is, why do we like rescuing and/or fixing people? Are you I a rescuer or a fixer? Leave a thought, below.
