My career has been focused on caring for women, helping them to find their voice, and at times being their voice.

I worked in the NHS from 1982 to 2018. I started my career as a Registered Nurse. I became a midwife in 1987. As a midwife, I worked with all aspects of midwifery care, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and as a Specialist Midwife in Perinatal Mental Health.

After 5 years of study, I passed my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2017, and am now a fully registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition to my own practice, I am also a counsellor with East Kent Rape Crisis Centre (EKRCC) and have worked as a bereavement volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care.
